The purpose of the Foundation is to assist the elderly either directly or in aid or cooperation with other public or private facilities.

How?

  • Funding third age studies to support medical/scientific research

  • Purchasing hospital equipment for research and prevention of vehicles made available to the third sector to transport the elderly or people with disabilities

“The treasure that I leave you is the good that I have not done, that I would have liked to do, and that you will do after me.”

On January 26, 1992, Michele Bettoni died at the age of 79, after a long illness. In 1989, a Foundation called the Liliana and Michele Bettoni Foundation was established by his will, in perpetual memory of his late wife Liliana Felini Bettoni, who passed away in 1988.
The Foundation has the purpose of assisting the elderly both directly and in support of or in cooperation with other public or private structures; in this context, the Foundation also proposes to study the problems connected with old age both from the welfare point of view and from the social, moral and cultural point of view; the creation and promotion of activities and opportunities for socializing for the elderly, which aim to prevent their marginalization, as well as the valorization of their energies in every field where they can be expressed for the elderly themselves and for society.
Upon Michele's death, he was succeeded as President of the Foundation by his brother Pietro, who remained at the helm for thirty-one years until his death at the age of 91 in February 2023. Pietro was succeeded by his nephew Guido, who, in keeping with the Foundation's traditional policy, introduced a new, more modern vision that also opened up to medical-scientific research in the interest of improving the quality of life of elderly people.

Over 30 years of quality assistance and help

Dedicated to the elderly

So that they continue to be protagonists of their lives, their desires, their initiatives. To share and better understand the complexity of their needs and try to provide answers.

Collaboration with Institutions

Because we believe that it is the duty of the institutions to create social policies to protect the elderly, and it is the duty of the third sector to extend the network of interventions to support home care.

Collaboration with local activities

Because we believe that alongside structured services there should be proximity networks, that is, neighborhood communities close to those who are no longer young.

Collaboration with Research Institutes

Because we believe that the development of medical-scientific research can improve the quality of life and can be a stimulus to find new solutions to diseases that are still difficult to resolve today.
